User table in Database

There is a user table in the database, what is it used for ? When I add a user, it updates the admin table - can you advise? And if its used, how does one login as a user - whats the URL end point?

When you add a user, it updates the admin table, you are correct.

The users table is previously used for the backups. As of now there is no use of this table at the moment.
