Customers ability to add any Comments or Notes for an order

Hi, really like Bagisto and have been slowly implementing it in to my site. When exploring the options and features, one big feature that is missing is for a customer to be able to add a comment or note for an order.
Sometimes a note is needed to advise the store they want their package to be left somewhere, or they want to make sure they get a particular brand or custom text. The ability to be able to add this is quite important and i'm surprised Bagisto does not have this basic function.
Is there plans to add this? I have seen a couple of posts about adding this manually but I feel it should be a built in function already.
