No mbstring and can't install it

I'm installing bagisto via the gui installer on wsl2. (Ubuntu)
I have everything and followed the tutorial but here:

The mbstring extension is not installed. I tried installing it with apt but that didn't work.
Can't find anything on the net.

You have not enable mbstring on your Cpanel. please verify once and let me know
