Velocity theme - Slider not responsive with custom image

I all,
I'm using the Slider in Velocity theme, but if I add any image (also tried with the same size of the original Velocity picture), the Slider is no more responsive.
It seems that when I add my image, in the html I see intrinsic height (and witdh) of the images. How can I solve it?

This issue has been fixed in master may I know which version are you using.
