How to create a refund of an order

  • Hello everyone!

I am trying to figure out some basic operations within back-office and was not able to
find a place where I can refund the order.

Also, can someone please explain the ordering process using PayPal in details.
For example, when payment is made successfully, there is no invoice generated, I have to generate it manually.
When I list orders, I see the status pending, but how do I know which ones are paid and which are not?
What does invoice mean? Do I need to generate and and send it to customer to be paid, or it is a receipt of the payment received? That is not clear to me at all. It would be very nice that PayPal payment would automatically generate invoice with the status paid, and cash on delivery should generate invoices with the status pending. And as for the refund, that is a big mystery.

    Thanks in advance,

    Tijana

Paypal is the only option that allows us to create a cart so that customers can checkout from multiple sellers in one transaction.

The longer answer: Storenvy uses a brand new PayPal technology that enables "splits payments". This means that you can make purchases from multiple stores in one smooth checkout process. PayPal then distributes all the money to the proper merchants.

While using paypal standard method in bagisto, make sure the bagisto shop should be uploaded on a server else in the localhost it's paypal invoice will not generate, the process will go manual.

On the live running bagisto shop, when you pay through paypal the invoice generate automatically and order status will changed into processing.

Do I need to generate and and send it to customer to be paid, or it is a receipt of the payment received?

No, you don't need to identify your customers while paying through paypal, as the notification in email & order status is already received by the customer.

    Note:
    Thanks,
    Feel free for further query.

    Thanks for showing interest here,
Bagisto is also integrated with the "paypal adaptive payment" which provide customers to buy from the multiple seller and pay to individual seller by "splits payment".
